Nick Afanasiev is a film/TV actor that was born on July 29, 1989 in Moscow, Russia. He moved to the United States at the age of six and lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for his childhood years. During middle school, Nick's main focus was BMX biking. When he was fourteen, he moved to California, and continued to ride BMX, winning first place at the Del Mar BMX competition and earning a sponsorship from a local clothing company.
After graduating high school, Nick's acting career began. He was invited to be on Nickelodeon's iCarly, for his record-breaking long tongue! After filming at Nickelodeon Studios in Hollywood, California, he fell in love with being in front of a camera right away. Just days after returning home from the set, he began to take film/TV acting classes at Robert Wald Actor's Studio, and with Billy Cowart at WCI Studios.
Nick went on his first two auditions for student films after training for a few months, and booked them both the same day! He gained important experience and continued to audition, booking more and more roles as he continued his career. Less than a year into his career, he starred in many independent films, a couple spec commercials, and a documentary about actors.
Along with his acting career, he was also on many TV shows for his exremely long tongue, such as: The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Wealth TV's Variety Showcase, several shows in the U.K., and many more.
Nick was recently signed commercially and theatrically by Sha'Lin Talent Agency in Burbank, California. Now, Nick continues his training at WCI Studios and Robert Wald Actor's Studio, and is very successful in booking roles. He has many plans for the future, and will continue to grow in his acting career.
